new album
observations in a time of chances
of the Munich
band project the tinopener's art

The album is like a mirror of a time full of disruption, changes, and chances. The tracks
tell different stories of suppression and renewal, doubts and hope, the danger
of concentration of resources and power, hatred spread by populists, or the
impact of social media. In addition, some tracks also contain very private
stories and thoughts.
The music combines modern electronica with 1980s-style synth-pop sounds,
trance tunes with dance beats, cineastic soundscapes or darkwave melodies
with trip hop rhythms. Great melodies are supported by variable vocals, often
arranged like an additional electronic instrument, which strengthens the
atmosphere of every track. This fascinating album provides the perfect
soundtrack for the time we live in.

This compilation is a CD supplement of the December 2017/January 2018
issue of the Orkus music magazine.

With the new album
a mode of reward
the Munich
band project the tinopener's art
goes back to its roots
of dark electronica. Thus, all tracks convey a dark, melancholic mood.
The music itself shows a wide variety:
the album contains quite different tracks
from elegiac ballads and trip hop alike songs
(dream of a subway,
walk by,
endless bridge,
at the end of the road),
via rough – sometimes even angry sounding –
electro tracks
(grey buildings,
incubus phalanx,
overtime),

up to the powerful opener

Most of the album's lyrics deal with the dark and seductive side of
eroticism. This covers a spectrum from subculture scene sketches
to amour fou stories. The sometimes cryptic and
surrealistic lyrics also deal with other
topics, such as naive belief in progress or
the alienation of persons.

European IDM meets Indian instruments and sounds, trance melodies
merge with Indian percussion. The latest LuckEnHouse album Panaji
describes a trip through India, a journey full of rhythmic,
electronic music. Each of the eight mostly instrumental tracks
tells stories of one large Indian city.
The album is dedicated to Richard H Kirk - a true pioneer of
electronic music. And several
tracks on Panaji
indeed show influences of Kirk, such as
atmospheric noises and loops. However, LuckEnHouse produces his
very own style of electronica based on magical sound effects,
repetitive patterns, and strong melodies.

an early tinopener's classic
, a catchy synthpop track with
a lot of depeche mode influcence in it (we still plan a remake to
update the rather old-fashioned sound fuzzy vocals).
subspace –
a special kind of "session music" - dark, mysteriously, and
hypnotically. Like a maelstrom, it pulls you deeper and deeper
into an altered state of consciousness - entering complete
devotion in the subspace. Besides the original version, there's
