about

The EP voyage et génie is a joint production and combines the varied electronic sound of the tinopener's art with the expressive vocals of Julien Auroux. It follows a journey both through the mind and to real places. Each station tells a different story and reflects the impressions during the journey with its own poem and according sounds. The journey starts with a mechanical live shaped by industry, an alienating system and the desire to escape. The second station brings us to brazil with a melancholic reflection of two persons. The resulting question then is repeated in a more abstract way expressed by a minimalistic techno track. The fourth station (jeu sexuel) throws us deep into nightlife with a wall of up-to-date club sounds and beats, and tells the story of being addicted by sexual games. After that, the journey leads to the suburbs, expressed by hip hop elements and a cinematic feeling that let's you experience the depression of an urban jungle of lost souls. Finally, the journey ends up in meditative floating sound spaces.

Two bonus tracks complete the album: the funky, groovy chat and a remix of jeu sexuel done by UK's famous sound wizard N.S.J.

As usual, the album also takes into account the optical component of art. Thus, the tinopener's art produced an own cover artwork for each track of the album. All artworks and tracks can be downloaded for free from the band's website and the usual online portals.
